Make sure you bring these certain items!
HEAVY WINTER COAT!
The winters here can reach -60 degrees Fahrenheit. Don’t forget it, or you will freeze!
LARGE PACK OF WATER BOTTLES!
This area is like a cold desert, and we receive only 6 to 10 inches of rain every year! Bring water to keep you hydrated in the dry tundra!
CAMERA!
Our organisms work together with the abiotic factors. Watch them as they use their adaptations, hibernate, migrate, grow, hunt, and participate in many other activities to help them survive! You will want to have plenty of memories from your trip. Forget a camera, and you will not have any memories!
GOGGLES! (If you are visiting in the winter)
Temperatures can reach the negatives in the winter, so bring goggles to protect your eyes!
FLASHLIGHT!
The tundra can be very dark at night, so bring a bright flashlight so that it is easier to see the amazing adaptations of the organisms.
PACK OF FOOD!
Food is very scarce and hard to find in the many piles of snow and ice, so do not forget to bring something to eat.
